SkyCity Networking Event July 2025
























𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐤𝐲𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐒𝐨𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 & 𝐄𝐨𝐬!
The team at SkyCity hosted us on Monday 28th July, for a progressive evening, taking in some of the event spaces and rooms at SkyCity and Eos.
We kicked off the evening at Sol Restaurant and Bar with canapés and cocktails hosted by General Manager Hospitality Michael Neal. After touring the impressive Eos hotel, including its elegant lobby and ballroom, we enjoyed excellent food, drinks, and attentive service. Magician and emcee Scott led SkyCity-themed trivia, awarding venue vouchers to ten winners. The event delivered strong networking and a vibrant Monday turnout—showing #mondayisthenewfriday.

AEAIN has always had one simple but powerful idea: connection for EAs. These events are our best opportunity to meet new faces in our profession, reconnect with familiar ones, and strengthen the incredible network we share as Executive Assistants, while exploring amazing event spaces around Adelaide.
The room was filled with a wealth of experience, insight, and shared understanding. Coming from the same professional background means the possibilities for collaboration, support, and inspiration are truly endless.

We had the pleasure of celebrating Administrative Professionals Day in true style, thanks to the incredible hospitality of Sofitel Adelaide.
The evening was held in their elegant event space, Symphony, where we were warmly welcomed with champagne and treated to a selection of exquisite canapés. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful Sofitel team— Nurilya Idrissova, Balazs, Adrian, Curtis, and General Manager Scott—for making the night so special. Scott also shared insights into the hotel’s offerings, and we were lucky enough to tour some of their stunning rooms.
It was fantastic to see so many new faces at this event. Our community continues to grow, and it’s your presence that makes these gatherings so meaningful. We hope everyone left feeling inspired, connected, and appreciated.

What an unforgettable evening! In March 2025 we celebrated AEAIN's 2nd Birthday in style 🍾
From Champagne and signature cocktails to a delectable spread that included an oyster and prawn bar, dumpling bar, and canapés by Executive Chef Alex, every detail was exquisite.
A huge thank you to 𝐕𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 for making this event possible, and to the fabulous 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐩, 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞, and the entire Marriott team for their incredible support and hospitality. Paul's speech truly captured the essence of our network's "Influence" and our vital role in driving business success—it was touching that he even prioritised our event over a high-profile GM gathering in Melbourne.
With 90 acceptances, it was our largest event yet—and what a Monday turnout! For those who couldn't make it, you missed out on spectacular raffle prizes, from dining vouchers to hotel stays and access to the M Club Executive Lounge. Congrats to all the winners 🎉

𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐄𝐀𝐈𝐍'𝐬 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡: In just two years, AEAIN has evolved from a modest group of 30 Admin Professionals to an impressive network of 230 members, representing 90 businesses across South Australia.
What began in 2023 as a simple idea by Mel RotheCox, Kathryn Emmett and Trudy Robb to connect with like-minded EAs has grown into a vibrant community, filling a much-needed gap for Adelaide’s administrative professionals.
This network has been built on perseverance, collaboration, and the incredible support of our members. As a not-for-profit with no sponsors (yet!) or membership fees, we are deeply grateful for the generosity of venues and the enthusiasm of our members. Thank you for helping AEAIN become the thriving network it is today.

This week we hosted our last AEAIN event for the year, 𝐀𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐄𝐀 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭, along with our incredible partners at Your Say Group. It was our way of saying THANK YOU to our amazing members who have supported AEAIN and attended events during the year🎉
This event was a celebration of the vibrant community we’ve built together. The connections, stories, and support for one another in the Admin Profession space has been truly inspiring. We couldn’t be more proud of how far we've come and the exciting future ahead. 🚀
A major highlight of the evening was the 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤 4 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐞, we had the joy of announcing the lucky winners! Thanks to your incredible generosity, we raised over $2,000 for Dementia Australia just from the raffle alone. For those who participated in the walk in November, we’ll send out a wrap-up email soon. 🎁
We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt THANKS to a few key people:

A special shoutout to Damian Hough, the AO's Head Curator, who gave us an insider's look on the turf! We learned what it takes to keep the oval looking so great—even for those watching on TV. It was so engaging that we had to gently encourage attendees to come back from the oval; no one wanted to leave!
And a big thank you to AEAIN members Phoebe Lawrence and Brandi Miller for their awesome suggestion to host us at their workplace. We're a bit jealous of where you work.

AEAIN teamed up with the 𝑌𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑆𝑎𝑦 𝐺𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑝 this month who hosted us at the 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥 for our monthly networking lunch.
We had 30 EA/PA/Admins from across 20 Adelaide businesses attend, which was amazing.

Our second event held in November at PwC's client space was networking event. We had Lucy Brazier, who was in Australia promoting her book "The Modern Day Assistant", as guest speaker.
